We've 10 workers? Crap, I thought it was only 8. Could it by declaring everything a work zone and catching speeders, it's a money maker? I'm trying to be humourous, well, almost trying.:biggrin_25525:

i worked on road construction --so i have a lot of respect for the guys--and will do anything to make their job safer and easier
i kinda new one guy that got killed by a car while working
and i did get to see what happens when a 1/2 ton goes thru the work area really fast then hits the freshly oil sealed section--with a dog in the back of the truck
dogs can really fly---thankfully he wasnt hurt and they didnt break the coolers of beer--but this was back when there was basically no safety systems for workers

ever notice when going thru a zone and the lanes have been shrunk down with jersey barriers--they always give trucks the crappy lane---the trucks must use left lane areas(or right lane)
the 4 wheels get pretty much a whole lane and the trucks get the lane where you have to #### near rub your steps up on the barrier

They figure if you drive a truck, you are a "professional driver." As opposed to the four wheeler that is probably shaving, talking on the phone and changing the kid's diaper, all while driving...

take this for what it is worth, I have worked all around for the last 18 years building the federal dot roads. if there is a advanced warning sign telling you to slow down weather workers are present or not.....slow down! It give the highway patrol a exscuse to write a very exspencive ticket!....this is comeing from an ex superviser that had had to bury two of his friends an exsplain to their wives an kids , why they arnt comeing home anymore.... just my two cents

I've seen people reading while the car is moving, makeup, you name it. I'd rather be behind a trucker. It's mostly safer there.
