Dave is alive. Ran HARD Friday. Got a new phone Tuesday. Samsung Galaxy 6 Active
Just now got past the I am not a robot crap.
We are at HEB where last week I shut the truck off on
my shagrin. No WAY I'm shutting it off today.
This phone has one bad problem. It does not regularly make a noise when it gets a text. This is problematic to say the least. The AT&T store couldn't do anything about it. Hacks me off!

Glad to know you are alive Mr. Dave..

Me too... Got my cell back... the one I forgot at the event in Chicago almost two weeks ago... Nice gentleman found it and sent via USPS to my company.. and I was in my company last Wed. and got it... :biggrin_25519:

While in my company... they told me "my" truck was sold and would be best to move to another truck right away... All the trucks they had available have lane control and some on-guard crap... which I definitely don't want... So... they gave me the only one that doesn't have that... it is one year newer than mine... But it may be sold sometime next year... who knows when...
So... I cleaned "new" truck... and moved my home to it... Now at a truck stop in KY... Will deliver nearby tomorrow...

I'm at a tire store. The mechanic side my tires are dangerous and a blow out could kill me. I said if I was lucky. The company is buying me two new fronts. It will mean taking an extra $20 out of my check to pay for them. Then I got stuff to do kinda all over Houston.

Got my early run. On the way to SDV with it he sends pick up SDV deliver to ISC in 77449. Katy.
Dropped the morning thing ok but SDV was a PITA to get a stinking 10# carton out of. By 11am it hadn't shown. So went to get my next run. A 130# pallet going off Miller Cutoff. Dropped that and Tom called. He said he had a pick up going from Vopak to Texmark. I was within a mile or so from Vopak when I dropped. But I was nearly to 610 when he called. Had the toughest time I ever had getting Vopak.
Then figured I was going to have a real tough time getting to Katy.
But traffic was unbelievably non-problematic going out there. And even more unbelievable getting home from there.

I don't know where everyone was but no snarl at I-10 and I-45 like usual made it painless.
Got home 6:15. Pot pie for dinner. Now about to be asleep.

Another 4 day. First was head down to Hitchcock for a drum that went to a place off Almeda Hwy (old 288). Then all the way up to off Hardy Toll road above Rankin for two pallets going to Sumner. Then all the way down to Pearland for a Radioactive carton. Then got a BIG UGLY SCARY pallet. Took that to Panalpina where I found out they have been slow like everyone else. Then dropped the carton at BTX Air Freight.

No further communication. Got home 5 after 6pm.
