My Sister and I took a nice ride down to a new Kroger Marketplace in Porter. Heck of a store! Prices mostly kinda high. But Christmas stuff was 75% off. And got two nice pocket T shirts for 8 bucks.
    Truck ran perfectly.
Naturally I didn't get a text from dispatch.
We have some goodies to have tonight.
Got a sticky roof situation to deal with tomorrow.

I have been in California since Monday... running on I-5 up and down... went to same customer twice... DSP said I was the only truck they had in CA and needed to pick up some donation loads in CA.... took all loads to company warehouse in Ontario... did several drop and hooks...
Last one at 1 am CA time at the warehouse and now parked at this truck stop in CA...

Heading to WA for delivery on Monday and will reset before then... :yes2557:

I noticed a "decay" in the miles.. compared to last year... My company struggles to get the price they want... other bigger carriers get the loads for cheaper....

To some degree I think that is what's happening in Hot Shot. But how anyone could live on less than I'm getting is beyond my understanding.

Tennessee at a pilot. I wouldn't be here but dirty laundry calls. I think its I/40 exit 417. Could be off an exit or two.

Have been running nights... rushing to arrive early at truck stops and get good parking places and relax...
Now at this empty truck stop in WA after running all night on I-5 from CA...

there was a lot of fog in several places... but no snow, no rain and no ice...

Arrived here at 10 am pacific time... now it's almost 6 pm and there are only 4 trucks on this parking lot... It's going to be a quiet quiet night... :yes2557::biggrin_25518:

Sweet. I deliver Monday at 8 in NC. Debating on taking 34 and leaving at 330 Monday am. 210 miles away. Need my 34 off to run next week wisely and get home Friday. Might be a 3600 mile week. Might be 3100. Time will tell.

I'm going to. I'll be OK on delivery time .30 mins early. If I don't, I'll wish I had. I can use the rest too. My crusty bones are tired. Been running hard.

Running at nights is hard on the body... not so if one is young.... But what I like about it is much less or no traffic... I LOVE THAT!! :yes2557: Only inconvenience is the weather during the winter... Well... IMHO, the whole winter is an inconvenience... :biggrin_25523: Shorter days, snow, ice, less parking available with all the mess and folks parking early... :biggrin_2552::biggrin_25510: I generally drive during day light during the winter, after the snow plows have cleaned up the roads and shut down before the roads get frozen again at night...
