I made it outta Rialto and over the hill before it got too bad for traffic. Got up to King City and called it a day. Got into Salinas today at 630am and checked in. My product should be ready at 11am (usual story, we shall see!). It is a lot cooler here than it was in Rialto. Got a final pick in Castroville after I get outta here.

Always something about King City--if I had a dollar for everytime I left LA area headed up that way--stopped for a bite at KC and that's as far as I got that day! LOL
OF course ready is a relative term--ready to pick-up or ready to be picked from the field? LOL
Have a safe trip back north

kw9's rock and Hammer166 Thank this.

I have made it as far as getting backed into a dock so far. Looks like they are moving the trucks through relatively quickly at the moment. Still got to deal with the FCFS system over at Ocean Mist in Castroville later today. Talked to another hand from our company when we were loading oats on Saturday , he was at Ocean mist waiting for 26 hours last week so I ain't holding out too much hope for getting rolling tonight .The trips north have become a bit less of a handfull since winter has ended. Just kick back with the cruise on and watch the scenery change from coastal mountains to desert to plains to praries this time of year.

Hillbillys put up with goat trails in lieu of roads... WV knows how to pave things. I think Hillbillyana has ya beat!
