That's what I use. Holds two weeks of clothes without a problem. I have two.more drawers for plates, utensils, seasoning, etc under the fridge. Under the bunk.is the land of misfit toys - extra sweat shirts, pants, bedding. Every couple of months I empty it out, but somehow it becomes full very quickly.

Whatever you do, don't bring any dry clean only clothes. :p

Actually not too long ago a drug runner bringing cash back to the border was busted when the LEO noticed the pressed clothes on a hanger. "What kind of truck driver has silk shirts?"

That post made me laugh. It reminded me of when my brother got back to the states back in the early seventies after getting out of the Navy. He had been stationed in Spain and had bought a whole wardrobe of silk shirts. He then started truck driving and of course those silk shirts did not go over well on the road. I believe he eventually used them as oil rags.

One thing I learned to do is buy clothes that don't wrinkle much. With just a little effort, you'll find plenty of shirts that can be folded and stored without wrinkles. Jeans, probably not, but I was never really concerned about that. You could use what hanging space you do have to hang a minimum amount of dressier clothes and fold the rest. The Rubbermaid containers work great as long as you have a spot for them. Ive used em quite a bit actually.

And X2 on the "as soon as you get this truck figured, you'll be switching trucks". It's just the way it goes, but you will be better at it by then. Before long you'll be watching of those "tiny house" shows and know EXACTLY what they're talking about :)

Another thing I did was get rid of clothes that have to be sorted for laundry. If ya gotta do laundry on the road, you wanna be able to throw it in and push start.

He's been lucky enough not to have to do laundry on the road... Or shower for that matter... Thanks to hotels and home time... But I fear those days are coming to an end as he's going out for two weeks.

EEWWW! Doesn't shower. Just kidding. Most truck stops have laundry facilities now ( although, who knows what was in that machine before you) and actually, the showers I took on the road, weren't too bad.( although, I do recommend some sort of foot things, like flip-flops). Most truckstops have a person just to clean the showers ( there's a happy job) and do a so-so job. It's still better than being dirty. Few things are worse than starting a new day, with yesterday's grime on you.

Allow me to rebut the notion I'm a slob.

I've only been out on one four day week thus far and every morning started with both a baby wipe bath, fresh clothes, and deodorant. The first thing we bought were shower shoes! I've tried to hold off to either my own house, the hotel (during training), or the terminals. Shower credits are capital and I'm trying to save for emergencies, or longer runs.

Now, if you'll excuse me - Froggie and I have to go. squeak, squeak!
