Err, lemme re-phrase ... where can I get good tires at a good price? I'm heading to Laredo, then back to Calgary, so somewhere in west TX, CO, WY or MT (I-25 corridor). Maybe someone knows of something off the beaten path? Looking for (likely) name-brand 22.5s.

    TIA

Well, since you qualified that question, I cannot give you a smart-aleck reply! LOL!

I don't know where to get tires for trucks, and even at that, I wouldn't know what was "cheap".

If you were coming over through northwest Ohio I would set ya up with my tire guy. But out there in no-mans land I have no idea. Give me a shout if ya do get out my way.

I buy tires in Denver from a place I like pretty good, they have everything from cheap-o Chinese to top of the line. He just quoted me on 8 11r-24.5 Hankook drives with the real deep tread. Made in Korea. $3008 out the door with everything. They will give up to $75 for a tall 24.5 casing as well so I could get the price down another $600 by trading them in. They still have 30% tread so I am contemplating selling them to a local type guy. I am trying my first set of Hankook steers and so far they are doing real good. I have around 60k on them and they look great so I thought I would try the drives.

With the tire discount from the co. I am leased to my michelin xda-5 drives were like $470 for tall 24.5 with no casing credit. Not sure if their worth it but they were the same price as the 726 bridgestones that I would have gotten. Not long after I got them a buddie started getting kelly drives and continental trailer/steers for cheap

I got 209000 out of my Bridgstone steers and my Bridgestone drives are still running with 305000. I cant see buying a "cheap" tire made oversea's while paying a little for a good tire made here in the USA.

Got some Bridgestones last year that say made in Thailand on them. I've seen Yok's made in Japan and made in USA. Bought 4 Alcoa aluminum wheels this spring and they have "Russia" stamped on them! Its no wonder our ecomomy stinks, we don't own anything or make anything anymore!
