When I was driving log truck in Idaho. I did have experienced drivers show me how it was done and made it easy.

Wolfe Creek pass got me twice this winter but I also had to chain up all winter just to get up my driveway. I really need to find some lower elevation to park at during the winter.Brettj3876, D.Tibbitt, striker and 1 other person Thank this. -

I had to watch a YouTube video in North Dakota on a blizzard on 3G because I lied and told them I knew how to chain before getting hired. Probably took me 2 hours in all that cold and blowing snow after watching the video. And then I made it half a mile before getting stuck behind a truck in a snow drift across the road.
Normally at the start of winter it takes me about 60 minutes to get used to throwing chains again. By the end of winter 15-20 minutes to chain all the drives. Little more if I'm already stuckD.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
California Hwy 299 from Redding to Arcata. Empty lumber truck. .I had to chain four times. One was just a set of singles but the other three were full chains. By the third time I had it pretty well figured out. There were five of us all running together and we helped each other.

The tunnel was way up the road?
