Hi all. I've been thinking of getting my own straight truck and getting my own authority here in ontario, but have been stuck on where to get work and not finding a whole lot on load boards for straight trucks. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank You!

You won't survive off Loadlink with a straight truck in Canada. Only thing you can do would be partials. You won't be profitable with the monthly fixed costs. I know people in the states run Amazon with a box truck. Other than that you need a dedicated customer you already know or you need offer some kind of service like moving peoples furniture locally which would be very competitive.

what about companies much like UPS, FedEx, DHL....
many need o/o's for daily deliveries, or bulk loads.......at least down here, i see many "straight" trucks doing such work.ctbetts Thanks this. -
By having customers. If you don't have any, you're not really a business. Put your sales slacks on and get good drumming up work instead of asking your competitors for trade secrets.
Peplow Thanks this.
