I am green as goose crap ....
You plan ,plan ,plan plan , then plan some more .
The experience of other HH guys is absolutely priceless .
What the world does not see is the hours of homework at night and trip planning everybody thinks we just start grabbing gears and looking cool . If that's your idea for HH your in for a rude awaken .
The guys that have done this for a long time have alot easier time and are alot quicker . It takes a lot of time to get there .
In my opinion lenght being wide is not a big deal . Height and the biggest one to me is ground clearance.
When your 120 ft long with 2 1/2 inches of ground clearance , that you cant lift ,have fun .
The last one is ....
Where you are . It's not what your hauling , it's where your hauling it .
Ex Alberta vs the east coast

Yeah, HH/osod takes more planning, but even as a simple door slammer I have every stop planned before I release the brakes. I shut down early today because traffic on I70 was a zoo from indy to new Stanton and I didn't want to risk fighting for a spot in Breezewood.
Those who fail to plan - plan to fail.
