If you aren't near a terminal, and take your truck home with you, where do you all park? Wal-Mart? Another trucking company? Let me know. There is a trucking company locally with whom my wife (and to a degree, myself) know the managers. I asked them if I could rent a spot from them and they said, no. Now I'm a bit worried. I will be starting a new job with a company located 100 miles from the house, and if I can't secure a spot locally, may have to commute every week.

It's a good company, but I suppose I should have lined something up before I took the position.

Just googled truck parking in Tamaqua, and was greeted with M&M Self storage, that advertises truck/RV parking for $40/mo.

    Good luck!

Just a thought Voyager 1968, it looks like Tamaqua is out in the sticks --what about a local farmer or even a residence that has property surely someone would let you park for the weekend for a couple of bucks ?

Check Craigslist or post an ad on there - with this type situation you may want to get locking fuel caps as well. You just never know.

Thanks! I've lived here for 12 years and can't believe I didn't know that place existed. Looking at Bing Maps' Bird's Eye view, they have a huge lot to park in. I will be visiting them on Monday.

I pay $75 a month at a local tire shops warehouse. Its fenced with a gate and cameras. Plus I never have to worry about not finding a spot at the truck stop, thats happend before...

I tell my wife that I park it where ever I can and that it doesn't mean I am sleeping with the gal that lives there.
