Where do you shower?

Wet wipes work great on stanky feet but try and shower at least twice a month in the summer. If you park your trailer just right when it rains you can have a free shower with all the water coming off the roof.

 

I never had a problem getting a shower every day or every other day. Most of the companies I worked for allowed some choice among truck stop chains and locations for fueling. I found what worked best for getting a daily shower was to concentrate all of my fuel purchases in a month at one chain, like Loves or Pilot, maybe TA/Petro.. This almost always mean I bought enough fuel in a month to qualify for free daily shower/drink refill next month.

Another secret to daily showers is shower early in the morning 4am-6am. There is usually no wait list, however there are fewer employees working so showers may not be cleaned as frequently. It's a roll of the dice. Most drivers seem to get a shower in the afternoon or early evening. I found the waiting list for a shower was too long for my schedule. I also found an easy way to has my hair, face, etc in the truck when necessary..
