I almost always have unlimited showers on my fuel card, Gladly give them away to someone who needs them. And if she's cute I may volunteer to assist,( Joking ). I frequently will throw a sandwich to a new driver, I remember it being tough at first.
Where do you shower?

I try to not be so judgemental when it comes to things like personal hygiene, however, there is NO EXCUSE for an OTR driver to reek of BO. -
If I have stopped somewhere other than a truck stop, and there was a cheap hotel nearby, I d pay $20-$25 to get a room, and take a shower there. Good hot water, and much more cleaner than a truck stop shower.
Some customers have showers for drivers as wellLast edited: Jan 31, 2021

I used to do a lot of work in the trailer when I worked for a van line. Carried a big container of wipes so I have seen.could at least clean up and put on fresh clothes until I had time down the road to shower. My point is that even if you don't have available time/facilities to shower that there is no reason to be as stinky, dirty as some of the drivers I have seen out there.

As I’ve gotten older (I’m 61), I’ve found that I really don’t need to take a shower every day unless I’ve been sweating a lot or doing work that gets me dirty (not often doing mostly drop and hooks). I use hand cleaner, and I use wipes to clean my face every night. I’ve also found that hand sanitizer does a great job of eliminating arm pit odor, and extra strength Gold Bond powder there and in the privates keeps me feeling fresh.
I do take a shower in the middle of the week, though. -
