Its built into the roof. It's a pos if you wanna talk further than the walls of your cab.

Yup, it’s built into the roof. Multiplexed with the radio and cellular antennas for the Diagnostic system if your truck has that.
Some have okay luck with it, but most mount external antennas and run their own cables. I put mine out the back wall.

Our 2019s and 2020s have antennas on the back of the sleeper. Driver side is CB, passenger side is AM/FM.

Not much better back there unless yer a flat bedder..Might have better luck..
Both ant are to close to one another and to close to the bunk so you get reflect..

The built-in Hirschmann Thin Film antenna is lucky to get four miles.

I have a thread from last year on upgrading my new model 2018 Cascadia. Pics, parts, etc.

At the end I was limited by the other man’s equipment.

A Uniden 980, RM Italy Kl203 (70W) can fit into cubby and run off the 15A circuit.

Antennas and mounts are the big thing. See that thread.

It looks like the best solution for that truck would be a 9 foot stainless steel whip bolted to the driver side door.

When I was in a '16 Cascadia I averaged about 3 miles and swr was 2.5+, that lasted about a day because when I parked that night first order of business was to purchase bracket, mount, coax, and antenna and setup a good antenna system.
