just a dumb question... but I’m curious. I’ve noticed a lot of you old schoolers refer to old peterbilts and such as large cars. Is it a specific model you are talking about? Specific body style? Anything with a stretched frame? Something else I’m missing? Sorry, I’m an idiot.

A large car to me has always been just a nice kept big truck. Stemming from the days of fat cats and KT cummins and long hoods and boxes. I still use the term to this day when I see a nice ride. I remeber being a kid riding with dad and he’d be pointing out the “large cars”

The difference between a big truck and large car is
A big truck goes as fast as it can.
A large car goes as fast as it wants.

I don't care for the term myself. To me, the word "car" doesn't carry the same amount of masculinity as the word "truck" does.

I like it, I think it’s cool. Reminds me of being a kid, before you started seeing most the nonsense we see out here. I will never forget riding with dad and seeing the “large cars”

Granddad told me this years ago:

When a big truck goes down the road, it blows dust off that right shoulder.
When a large car goes down the road, it blows dust off both shoulders.
