Isn't it amazing how it just always works out and you can average 1 MPH under the speed limit?

    Logan76 Thanks this.

They technically don't have an age restriction, it needs to look good, pass a DOT inspection and have an electronic engine. I have talked with a few other owner ops that have passed thru here in the last couple of days and this place seems to be one of the few that once you come on here you don't leave until you die. They seem to have an almost non-existent turn over rate, I am feeling very blessed to have the opportunity to be given a chance here.

    Robert,
I haven't investigated a lot, but there is a wire that is capped off on the mirror arm. I have flipped the center dash down to run the wiring for the strobes, but didn't remember to look for the extra wire for it.
I did order 3 switches from these guys today. Eric there answered every question I had, and even asked for foto's of the OEM switches! So if you need any that match up, give them a try. $9.99 per switch, which is cheaper than the junk you can buy at AutoZone etc.

Going to get the TV installed tomorrow, as well as doing a few other odds and ends.

Jason, glad you have a good feeling about leasing onto us mate. I think the average length of lease has to be over 10yrs, if not 15yrs! And you are right, most of the time, unless the guy is just a whiny baby, folks retire from here.
I also spoke to Davey on your behalf today, and he said he has nothing but dozers in Peoria, but didnt know if you would complain about the bounce or not to get into the system.

IIRC we do still get a bonus for referrals. Used to be @$2k many moons ago, but not anymore. They aren't desperate for owner operators, so they pay accordingly:biggrin_25511:

At home with a shiny truck!
My 16yr old and his girlfriend polished all the aluminum/stainless! Cost me paying for them to go to dinner together this week.
Wife even got the wax out and waxed all the paintwork!
Now making a bracket for the flat screen TV to be mounted between the rear sleeper cabinet and the side one, over the bed at the top basically.
Wireless remote for the generator will be here today, so that will get installed and then the generator can go back on the truck (had an oil change).
So, needless to say, at home "relaxing"!

Sounds like typical "hometime" for an owner operator!!

    Agreed!
Although making the interior nicer for day to day use, is a lot better than crawling around under the thing.
Rooftop AC next time at home I hope. The portable does the job, but is a little in the way and not ready for immediate use whenever I stop. Have to run the hose out the window and then set it up. Only takes @3 minutes, but when you are only stopping for 5 minutes....

I know it's been asked before, but do I have to pull into scale if I get a green light on my prepass? I'm OD, permited in MO & IN, banners required only in IN, flags for MO.

Permit required for 6" overhang. How sillly lol.
