How far are you from Elk River? Almost bought a 99 Freightshaker and a 48' Dorsey reefer from up there 2 weeks ago. It was seized by the sheriff up there and was on Ebay for 5500 bucks. Ran, drove, good tires and brakes, 1,072,000 miles. My limit was 7K and it sold for 8.

Martin, Sorry to read about losing your blocking.. That really bites big time.
The fly swatter, Did you get that from Carrol AKA Tagalong?? Good lady, used to work with her years ago, just after she met her boyfriend.. I kept trying to get her dump him, but she was kinda using him as a Mr. Mom deal at the time. Haha

Haulhand, Got our building lded. and unlike fisherguy. Our lds. shrunk. only 12' 9" w 10' 2" h and 40 long. Crane weight was 65k, but had to open the trl. 5 ft. to get the weight down on the rear. Came out at 14400 46380 57640. Off set the open side 24" from the deck. They even took the bull wheel out of the unit. Easy sailing after we get out of Pa.vWill leave in the morning. The only bad thing is no D rings on the skid down the sides. Hooked into the cross members plus tieing down the front and back like normal

That's a good deal there. I wouldn't even worry about firing the middle just front and back like the rig movers do. I guess I'm just old school hell I can remember when if you weren't going over 100 miles you'd suck it off your tail roll and haul ### no chains no nothing.

    Yea, I hear you.
Just like being on the safe side as some people have been in the news lately about losing lds.

Yea I can understand that. Safe is always better just takes some time for an old school iron mover to adjust.

I thought cheap natural gas, tight credit standards, and expiring tax credits had killed the wind energy industry.

Sitting at the Peelot in Mountain Home, ID waiting on the Oregon permits I applied for last Tuesday. Got here at noon and after 3 hours of waiting I sent my pilot cars to the motel then as luck would have it, Oregon finally came through at exactly 5:00 pm Pacific time but by then it was too late to try and run for the border. Still no word from Washington on permits either and also applied for those last Tuesday morning.

Waiting on it to cool off some so I can get out and put all my night running lights on since Oregon restricted me to nighttime only from Sandy to the WA line. Washington will probably restrict me to night as well but might run into a problem at the Nisqually River bridge again if they haven't finished the night work on it. I guess time will tell.
