Where is everyone #2!!

I went to load my run for El Paso this morning but found it to be "less than desireable" with old dirty machines, leaking hydraulic fluid all over the place, and the rigging crew would not reposition 2 press's that I told them to move. So we got into a bit of a pissing match and I won when I told them to remove the load from my trailer. It was a Federal Mogal plant that is closing up and taking operations over to Mexico, so i don;t feel bad at all by not taking the load. All those local jobs lost.... shame.

As soon as I pulled out of the plant, I got a call from one of my regular agents who offered me a nice Od load going to Colorado Springs for a hefty chunk of change. So i load tomorrow in MI and come home for a party of friday, then roll out Saturday morning for Colorado.... all in all, it worked out much better

 

Bouncing down to DFW then loading for some job site 50 miles into the bush, 300 miles up the Cassiar Hwy in BC. So I know what I'm doing for the next week.

 

Hanging out at the house occasionally browsing Mercer's load board. There's nothing I want or it's going to a bad area. There are a couple of loads going up into ND, but they are not paying enough to bounce out. They used to pay .30 more per mile. 2 are gone and a new one just popped up. Geez,,,stop taking this cheap stuff

 

Sitting here on the side of hwy 21 in Tx. had a trl. tire go out on me. Was only running 60 trying to keep the tires cool. Real heavy on the back. Now just waiting on the tire guy. There are others places I was wanting to be today..

 

I kno the feeling. I'm going. 59980 on the triple so I've just been running between 52 and 55 so I don't have the same wait.

Sitting at the house. Been doing paperwork all week as I was notified monday that I am being audited for the last 3 years. Buying this new business might have just stuck it too me but my accountant and I believe I will be good to go. What a pain.

 

My ac hasn't seemed as cold the last couple days, but I've also been in some hot areas like Texas! Found a lot of oily residue at the switch on the drier and the lines weren't very cold. Hopefully one charge will get it home. About to leave the Oak Grove Petro, bouncing towards FL. Hopefully get something tomorrow, but I have to close on my new house on Monday, so if I have to bounce from KC to FL, so be it
