I got my grain handling equipment dropped off this morning. Bounced home and parked the truck for the weekend.
I just got in from putting out my trail cameras and some mineral licks for the deer.
Where is everyone #2!!

Home.
left Monday at noon dropped Columbia Cross Roads, PA Elmer, NJ E. New Market, MD on tuesday
loaded in baltimore Wednesday morning delivered Wintergarden, Fl Thursday morning loaded Lakeland thursday afternoon. Unloading in the morning and goinh to hook to a VA/NC/SC on Monday -
GRRRRRRRRR
Home 2 hours later than I should be and I still have to go and do my drop tomorrow. I wasn't going to arrive at my drop till 6:15, so I called dispatch to see if they will be open still. He said he would call them.
He calls me back and says that they will wait. I try to call the customer at 6 and there is no answer. VM is full, I txt, no reply. I'm in Houston and can be home in half hour, I call dispatch and he says, they said they'd wait, so go.
So I go, well its Friday night, construction workers that work 60 hours a week, aren't going to stay late on a Friday night. So obviously no one there. I call again and he finally answers and said dispatch said I would be there between 5:30 and 6 and they would wait till then.
I know why dispatch said that, it makes sense to do it earlier in the week but not on a Friday night. They are never waiting longer on a Friday night. So I had to drive back to our yard and now I have to get up tomorrow and drop it because I already have a 7am load booked for Monday.
So I wasted an extra 2 hours tonight and have to also spend 2 hours of my Saturday. But when I opened up my paycheck, it made me feel all better. Set a new personal record last week for truck revenue last week. -
Pulled a cheap load out of SLC headed to Kansas then Nebraska. Oh, well at least it got me out of that dusty town :cough:

Well guess who gets to spend the wkend in beautifull Red Deer, Ab. for the wkend?
Got up to the customer today to offld. their junk trk.
One would think that knowing you have a dead unit on the way, that you might have a plan on how to off ld. it.
We got there just before noon and they tell us where to park and even help with taking off the tarps..
3:00 pm the wrecker finally shows up to help with the offld.
They knew since yesterday where I was and even this morning I updated them telling them I was still on track for noon today.
But my reload is still a go for Monday now. Buyer of the next trk. I'm getting is real easy going and said no problem.
Could ld. it Sat. but no way to get a Mt. permit.

Red Deer was a regular stop back in my IT days. Used to haul a lot of tractors up that from Allis Chalmers.
