More restraint than I would have had, I would have been in cuffs for at the very least battery but more likely manslaughter!!

I was inside doing laundry, and got paged over the PA system. Some other OD drivers saw it, and called the cops. By the time I got there, 2 cop cars were there, and when I headed towards the drunk wanker, an officer stood in front of him when she found out I was the owner of the truck hit, and told me in no uncertain terms to go "over there" away from the little prick. Came real close to beating the snot out of his do called trainer though, until another cop rushed him away. Kid left in cuffs and the "trainer" got a cab called by the cops fir "his own safety"
Bull bar time I guess, when I find one that doesnt look like scaffolding

Martin well that totally sucks. Even though drunk they barely tried to hit the hole. I'd also make sure the worthless trainer never drives again

How? You can't get something from a situation like this that was never there.

Sure u can. A new bumper from the dealership is going to be about $2,500 once u get the brackets, new fog lights, installation and labor for body work. A new Herd bumper is about the same price and I know Martin can install it. Not to mention the fact that he can also now sue them for loss time and wages. I'd hit those f***ers up for everything they got !!!!

Here is the one I'd get, but they have about 6 styles to pick from. I'll prob be getting one in a few months myself.

We have dealt with USA Truck on a truck stop incident. We were hauling an oversize sprayer. One of their special people tore off one of the booms. So our customer files a claim against us, and we in turn have to collect from them. Anyway, they will probably handle this internally. Given the circumstances, they will probably take care of it quickly. I am certain they would fight you on any effort to include loss of time and wages, but they might roll over trying to keep the incident quiet. You would spend far more time and money trying to go to court than it would ever be worth.

Martin--I would suggest you have all the damages you are seeking put together in an organized and professional manner. It usually helps to have justification behind it. I would also try to make sure you are certain of everything that could be wrong before presenting. It will be much more difficult to add on something later. Stay cool when you are dealing with their internal adjusters, but remain firm. Their job is to try to get you to settle for less. If all else fails you can threaten to bring more publicity to the incident, but I would save that as a final option.
