Sound like a nuke plant. I've been to the one in Marseilles. IL and it was similar.

All the BS of a nuke plant, without the cooling towers. I absolutely hate nuke loads. They can turn the simplest loads to an all day ordeal.

Years ago, I tried a gig of running pipe spools out of Houston to Port Arthur,Tx. 90 mile run, paid 650. I thought, "Cool, should be able to do 2 of these a day, and make $1300 a day to the truck...sign me up!"

Got loaded and went to Port Arthur. Had to check in, and watch those safety films. THEN, you go to the job site. They were so slow that they could only unload 2 trucks a day. 2 days on a $650 load.Port Arthur, New Iberia... All of those building projects...slow as hell. There's one of those places down there near Port Arthur that requires you to wear a fire suit. 110 degrees outside, 100% humidity and they want you to wear a fire suit for safety.

Vaughn, NM at the little truck stop. Went over to Penny's Diner across the street for a burger n fries and it was good as usual. Not many diners open 24 hours anymore, let alone in the middle of nowhere in the desert.

Getting up early tomorrow to shoot down to Carlsbad and get unloaded. Then zip over to El Paso and grab 3 pieces of pipe and head 30 miles west of Tonopah, AZ to a job site delivery. Should be interesting

Well we got the trk. delivered here in Hidalgo. My wife and I both looked like drowned rats as it was steady rain unlding the trk.
Came up to the T/A and went in a showered and washed our wet clothes.
Nice little burrito stand inside. Better than the Country Pride food.
Now to find another ld. in the morning.

That's really up there. I think if I put the deck insert in I will be a little over 50k.

What a day started at 330 this morning so I could get through Denver before curfew. Kicked that 6 off then ran into commerce city and grabbed an 844 from Honnen. Ran that up by Golden, CO then came to wamsutter and loaded another D6 to go to Golden. These guys are almost morons as I loaded the first dozer in Cheyenne and drove right past this one yesterday.

This truck is an absolute pig though. It goes right at 27300 with my blower and all my gear.
