Where is everyone #2!!

Figured I would share this with everyone .... It's that time of year!!!

 

I'm at a rest area just east of Abilene on 20. I blew a tire on my booster just as I passed the exit for the TA in Sweetwater, TX so I decided to run up to the next exit and turn around I lost the other one just as I got on the frontage road. The TA told me 3 hours to go less than a mile but the dude from loves showed up in 20 minutes with the wrong size tires so after another 29 minutes he showed back up and had me done in about an hour and a half. Two tires and rims and a mudflap with labor was right at 1600 I didn't think that was too bad. Just sucks it cost me a hundred and 60 miles of running today.

 

Loaded in Vancouver and on my way to Duluth MN for Friday morning. Going through Canada to use the CDN HOS rules, but looking at that weather forecast make me happy to drive through sunny Saskatchewan.

 

Every time I leave the T/A I always think I got ripped off.

Every time I leave the Loves, I think "What a bunch of nice guys"

Well got our Ky. permit this morning and was rolling great. Got my Ar. in 2 hours, that was fast for them. But the have changed the rtes. Shorter detours, but kinda goofed me up for running time.
Get to the scales on I40 in Tn. They are open, no biggie, I got a Tn. blanket permit.. Big Grin. I open up my permit book and see I got a blanket permit. She says yes you do, but it expired in March.. I'm like not it did'nt it's only 2 months old.
I look and crap the old one. She says go on inside an I'll deal with you in a few...
Get to flipping pages and found my new one. Whew.. Show it to her and she says have a good trip..

#### blood pressure went up fast. 127k gross this is gonna get costly, plus wide.
So then I find out my Tx. is waiting for a district engineer to sign off on it. Guess who took today off.

Haulhand when did Conroe start that deal?

As for Sharp, I hope he breaks all his stuff. He boot legs more than he hauls legal I believe.
Kinda reminds me of Robbins from Pa. years back

 

When I talked to the nice lady in Conroe she said they started that about the middle of September but she didn't kno how long it was going to last because they were fielding almost 400 calls a day of just oversize loads and were getting #### tired of it. Honestly I really don't think they can do #### if you don't call if your not on city streets.

Yea I kno all about him bootlegging ####. I just wish he would get caught more often.

 

I don't know why some of you guys mess with the oversize/overweight stuff
