You should be on standby. I am sure there will be some big money if you happen to get the call. That being said, I am going to take advantage of the messed up weeks to visit my inlaws in Texas. I always figured you could do well running regional.

You will have a difficult time going to Brooklyn legally. Any truck over 50' overall length requires a permit in the boroughs. This permit takes several days to acquire and probably only allows night travel. Doesn't matter if you are legal width...anything over 50' long. It is likely you could get away with it, but you could have a big fine if you get caught.

People keep saying this. I know a guy that's been going there for 25yrs and he's never heard of it. Hmm, I probably won't get it anyway

I thought that was just trailer being over a certain length. It's the whole truck and trailer? Looks like I screwed up before then... LOL

Ok to add to above, that is some messed up crap going into NYC. If you have a 53' trailer, your screwed. You can have a 48' but have to stay within 1 mile of your exit depending on the routes available and a bunch of other yiddish! Cluck, enjoy! I did not have fun when I went into Queens with shingles to a Lowes..... It is to confusing trying to get around out there. Now Chicago on the other hand is so simple!

yup, that's the place. I enjoyed Brooklyn when I went there, everybody told me you'll have no trouble with a 53' unless you have trouble, and then you may have big trouble. I definitely wasn't the only one pulling one.
