I bought a Pro-tech three door cabinet style from Peterbilt in Depere, Wi for $200. It was laying in their scrap metal pile, nothing wrong with it. I took it home, had it polished and sold it on Ebay for $1000.

Two on Ebay right now. One brand new for $2800, one used for $1450 OBO. Search "Cabinet Style Headache Rack" Or if you go to that truck parts place just south of Louisville they have a whole crapload out by the highway.

Yeah, an enclosed rack is really the only way to go I feel. Chains don;t get as rusty and I also have my 4' tarps rolled up and stored in there.

I got mine at TarpStop. It is a Sturdylite and they sell them for $1,999 if I remember right. I liked it over the Protech one because the center cabinet does not have walls on the sides, so you can reach thru to both sides as well. Comes in handy for pipestakes and coil rack storage. And the shelves are a much for 2" ratchets and hooks

No the board was dead all weekend. One popped west of Chicago going to Milwaukee yesterday afternoon, but the crane was there and they found someone closer. Oh well. I have to find a load to Lexington KY for Tuesday as that is where my backhaul to FL is. It really sucks when you book stuff out a week ahead sometimes.
