Sapp Bros in Percival IA waiting for daylight so I can drive through MO.
You can still smoke in restaurants in MO but you can't even move the simplest oversize load other than during daylight.
On another note, the "Chinese Webasto" has crapped out for the SIXTH time in 18 months. Likely the single worst purchase I've ever made in trucking. Even worse than the 9900i I once owned, and that's saying something.MJ1657 and dannythetrucker Thank this. -
Avoca, Iowa at the J. What is a Chinese Wabasto?
-
I found that route 9 in Kentucky you were talking about yesterday. Nice road.

According to my local dealer who sells Espar, Webasto, and this POS, these days they are all made in China and the "Chinese Webasto " is merely a gray market Webasto. So I saved a few hundred and bought one on the assurance that I was in fact buying a Webasto with Chinese writing on it.
The dealer has been good about it, extending the one year warranty to two years, but it's already been fixed or replaced 5 times and I'm done with it. I'm 1000's of miles from home and his good will can't help me out here, and winter has arrived.
The truck came with a Webasto from the factory that worked flawlessly and almost without stopping for 4 years until it started to wear out and then I got another year of temperamental use. All with zero maintenance.
That's the kind of performance I want. -
I used to go through there all the time taking dogfood and Morton Building stuff from Goodfield and Morton, IL to NC. There was a fuel stop along there that let me wash my truck on the fuel island (they were never too busy) and I'd carry a hose, brush, bug-getters, bucket and soap. Oh man, I don't think some of my previous employers really appreciated how good of an employee I was !! lol, now I'm old and lazy I just pay Blue Beacon.MJ1657 Thanks this.

Streakin Beacon!!!

I hate to stop tomorrow but I think I better get my rig washed somewhere.
I usually do it at home every weekend but I put all the hoses and pressure washer away for the year. -
I've been hearing you need to clean the screen and glowstick regularly, and/or replace fuel pumps. Luckily, all those things are cheap and fairly easy to do. Do you know if that's what has been going wrong with yours or worse problems ?
-
It's always the same thing. The glow plug. This one was "fixed" at the beginning of September, 7 weeks ago. Not bad I guess, the first one lasted 2 days.
