Guys watch out always in Houston, they will sell crappy "used" tires that look new or stolen tarps or straps all the time.

That's a sickening felling isn't it. I topped Lookout yesterday afternoon only to find the Idaho side slick, unsanded and generally a mess. Since I'm only grossing about 42k I was making pretty good time and as soon as I lifted off the throttle and the jake attempted to do it's job I got all kinds of warning lights. I did get slowed down but I think my new leather seat has some foam missing from it and I have been constipated all night. Montana had their side nicely sanded/salted and at 33 degrees was great running, Idaho on the other hand hadn't done a thing and the temps on the up-slope side were 31 degrees so it was a little slick in places all the way down to Wallace.
Oh, and I'm parked at the Hook in Post Falls waiting on legal sunrise to head into the yard North of Seattle. Not exactly sure what I have but my dispatcher said she had an oversize sitting there waiting on me to go back Southeast but she refused to say what, where or how oversized.Rugerfan and whoopNride Thank this. -
That bites for you haulhand. I've parked at the Golden Corral there but never in the Walmart lot.
When we do Walmart it's off of Garth rd. Like you said the camera's did'nt catch it and the security car was no where to be found..
Woke up to a cold rain this morning. Hopefully no lake effet snow today going to Holland for our ld. in the morning -

-18 Celsius last night (0 F. ) Webasto not working and the engine off. Stayed warm with the old school Electrowarmth mattress heater.
Stayed remarkably comfortable..... until it was time to get out of bed.
BRRRRRRR.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
In the Star, I have a sleeper ignition switch to take care of that problem. Wake up a half hour early, turn key, wake up in 30 minutes to a warm truck.

Loaded in Delphi with 6ph winds and rain, always fun to tarp in.
Headed east on 70 then PA Turnpike to Harrisburg. -
Dropped this morning in Waukesha in the cold rain and my tarps are twice as heavy now. Heading to McCormick Place in Chicago to pick up some dairy equipment from a show.

Called the shipper, Hi I'm picking up a ld. tomorrow for Hillsboro, Or. are we still on for it. Yes we are. Great thanks.

15 mins later phone rings from the agent.
The ld. is put off untill Monday, how much for you to stay and wait. Huh what? I just talked to them. Ok will call you back. Yep will not ld. untill Monday. Ok 500.00 a day I tell them. Ok will call you back.
45 mins later as I'm pulling into the trkstp.. They will only pay 200.00 a day.. What,
Well it seems one of our bright drivers on this move coming out of a different plant told them he would be happy a 200.00 a day.. Dip crap..
If it wasn't for the fact I would lose my D.H. pay and it was a 1000 mile bounce I would just re group...
Some times I wonder why am I still out here on the road..
I really need to check on the other stuff in Thailand.. Might not come soon enough....
