I almost never run with the cruise on, so I am not sure of the crossover effect on the programming.

The dyno is only showing 76% of rated hp to ground on a brand new engine. Everyone agrees there is an issue but no one has a solution. Detroit has put a new fuel map program in to delete the fuel saving one that came from the factory but that did not change the actual HP to the ground.

As it's warranty I must work through a Detroit shop to address the problem.

On a positive note I did average 4.9 mpg for the 12k miles mostly at about 120k lbs

Yes,and DEF. It's a 2014 DD16 . the regen light has only come on once, and the truck ran the regen itself.

And do you trust that shop? Sometimes, they can get shady because of warrantee work.

What is the factory crank HP advertised? And what are you putting to the ground?

More than the local dealer. The detroit shop has turned up the rated HP to 560, so the HP to the ground will be approx what it should have been at 500 rated. Hopefully the Detroit engineers will come up with something. I am going to run later in the week and then take it back to put in whatever changes Detroit wants to make. The truck pulls fine but has trouble maintaining a decent road speed on mostly rolloning terrain. So if you see me, please go around.

Originally 500 HP with 378 to the ground. Now 560 HP with 425 to the ground. Detroit here in town says I should be getting 83% of rated HP but a minimum should be getting 80%. So I am short 35-40 hp

Got unloaded this morning, then reloaded and found out the weight in the load changed from 44,500 to 46,700. Luckily I was running 2 lane and FM roads today thru Texas. Made it and got unloaded and now I sit at this dump of a Flying J in Waco, TX. Loading my first piece about 5 miles away, then filling out the wagon in Shertz, TX and headed west to San Fran.
