Pape,
Saw one of your trucks today in Eagan, Mn. Dark green Pete pulling a tarped load on a lowboy... -
Oh my wife has even brought it up to me about going back OTR. She hates the whole seasonal thing and not steady pay and really hates the union seniority deal that I stated in the post yesterday. She is wanting me to do what makes me happy and also what keeps a steady flow of money. It sucks, I save money for a truck one day and I end up having to spend it on bills because there is no work. I feel like I have gone nowhere since I started this job finance wise.passingthru69, 281ric and MJ1657 Thank this.

My hgt. was 14' 11" in Fl. you need a pole car. They did show up and I was a half hour late.
But it worked out ok. They had a small snag in the off lding so it worked out ok.
Just kinda tee's me off when I'm trying to do my job and a person down the line goofs things up.milskired Thanks this. -
Pulling the grain wagon around today and tomorrow. Flatbed is getting loaded right now for a Kansas run Monday morning.

Have any interest in hauling fuel? I took a job hauling gas in the mpls area, and I have a set schedule 5 days a week. Rain, snow or shine . Just an idea for a local gig.dannythetrucker Thanks this.

What schedule are you running now? I talked to Rich in North Branch last week.

Sat-Wed. I still have some years before I'll get a weekend day off...

Don't get suckered into one of those "easy" Chicago-Indianapolis dedicated routes either. That stretch is in bad shape and the people driving on it.... well just fair warning. I know some companies are paying pretty well for guys to run it. Maybe if they'd let you go out of route a bit but driving 65 everyday you'll wind up sucking on a shotgun barrel.freightlinerfever11 Thanks this.

I think if I change jobs I am going to go back to open deck. I just really enjoy pulling OD and I really enjoy the work involved with open deck and the challenges of pulling OD. I have thought about hauling fuel around here but a tanker doesn't really interest me much. The only reason this job had interested me was because I get to operate a dump truck, concrete truck, and loaders.
