Trying to decide whether to haul on the toll roads in In and OH and get both stops off Tuesday by noon (our cutoff for pay that week), or save the cash and mosey on US 30 again....

Heck Martin, if the detention money gets paid for the Ca. deal you could almost take the rest of this month and next month off..

I did, maybe, call about it 3 times this past week though....
Still trying to figure out whether to run the toll road through In and Oh and get paid this Friday for this load, or take the back roads and not get paid this coming week....

Well your luck and cash flow I think has kinda been like mine lately. So do you spend the money to make money this week or try and hang on to what money you do have and hope for a really good check next week. 2 loads then hopefully

 

heck you should have told him to lock in the differential and run it like that. with the rear shaft out it wont hurt a thing. I mean if he don't think a u joint needs replacing, he probably would have went for it.

I had one going bad in ohio once, I removed the rear shaft , delivered in Cleveland reloaded and drove it home to Georgia to fix it at home.

 

As for Detention money getting paid.. Some are really fast on paying and some are really sloooooooooooooooow to pay.
I had one bill that was for 45 days. I knew they payed 30 days after billing.
So I'm in Thailand and checking my settlements and was thinking about spending another month there. No detention money paid.. Ok come back to work and the office says when I walked in, Oh detention money is paying out this week.
I went well it should of paid last week. Well the funds did come in Tues..
I said yea you guys just wanted to make sure I came back and not stayed. Oh no that was not the case. I even said that to the owners son after he said welcome back and oh your det. money is paying this week. Rotten ba##erds

 

Know the feeling Carl. They are a little slow apparently, at paying it. That is what I was told anyways...
Looks like @$150 to run 80 through In and Oh, then a stretch of 476 and 276 to Bensalem....Will decide tomorrow I guess!
