Corning, CA at the casino... headed for Portland and Kent. Putting a plan together so that by this time next year I'll be in my own ride and pulling my own trailer, getting the urge to be a o/o so plan is in motion

 

Today highlight
A Flatbeder using thong Flip Flops while working, Seriously man. Show your job some respect. No one wants to see your toe's.

 

Just yesterday one of our own drivers shows up, hops out of his truck in shorts and flip flops. I told him he would need to put real shoes on at a minimum before we load him at which time he started to tell me that it was his truck, his trailer (funny how the company owned truck and trailer are his!) and he would wear what he wanted. So I proceeded to tell him that's inside this fence is MY yard and my rules. He's still parked out front and until the planners find him a different load somewhere else or he puts shoes on he can sit there. Frankly I could care less what someone wears while driving but in my yard I'm not going to have to answer questions from HR and Safety because some moron dropped a 4X4 on his toes and is now unable to work.

 

Hard to understand how so many folks come to work (& to life really) totally unprepared to handle the situation.

 

Half the places he goes probably require full PPE, hardhat included. I don't like steel toes, but I have them. I don't like wearing a hardhat, but I do. I hate those places that make you wear long sleeves in the summer, but I carry long sleeves. I think those stupid safety films some sites gave me watch is a huge waste of resources, but I will watch those stupid safety films.

Why?

Because if I have to wear an ugly uniform to play football, I will proudly wear that ugly uniform to play football. I'm here to play football.

 

Most likely You will have to run 95/200/US93 back down to Missoula. You don't want anything to do with MT 135 with an OD.
"The Virg" & I were re-routed @ Rocker down I-15 to I-86 to I-84 to I-82 back to I-90 @ Ellensburg with 14's to avoid the rock slide at the MM 7.
MDOT doesn't have any idea when it will be cleaned up, and they fear another slide there if Yellowstone Park gets another large earthquake.

 

heck yea, i hate to even look at flip flops unless i am on the beach.

 

Our permit gal informed my permit guy that "guys have been running down and across 12"....crazy.
95-200-93 looks good to me!
As far as flip flops go, never seen a flatbedder do it myself, but it is mind blowing to say the least.

Flagbedders should only use flip flops for one thing. Nasty bacteria covered truck stop shower floors.
