One thing I will say about Dubuque- if you ain't going uphill you're going downhill. I don't think there is many flat spots in that city!

Your travel agent didn't do their homework if they had you driving all around the factory. It usually says right on the tender where it loads at. They do most of the engineering for Construction and Forestry in DBQ. If they don't make it in DBQ you don't ever pick up at PSL (Dump trucks are made in Davenport). Those are just the machines shipping to dealers. We load at the Hill and dock 42 all the time. The Hill is their on site demo site. It used to be an airport they used...look at it on google you can tell. Were you scared that you might take the bridge down? One of my guys had to pick up an 824 @ 65K lbs the other day and did not like crossing the bridge. I am surprised Deere has not gotten the county to replace it yet. It floods at least once a year and the water goes over the bridge. Things can be pretty tight getting around dock 42. We have hauled quite a bit of equipment out to Colorado for high elevation testing. We have even hauled a reefer load of skidsteers out there a couple times. They own a refer that they use to test skidsteer starting in subzero temps. We also haul equipment to and from an electo magnetic compatibility testing facility on the south side of Chicago all the time. We often joke that we would like to have the money they spend moving equipment around for testing in a year.

Where did you go for crab legs?

Well it was our youngest dispatcher who booked this.. I had a small chat with her on this and so did her mom and aunt.. Nicely though..
Yea that bridge does make one wonder. I bet that hill is fun in the winter time.
Well we took the long way via Waterloo. So We went to the Isle and had supper.. Had enough points on my card it was free to eat... My wife bless her hert filled the bucket up with empty crab casings. lol
We left out of there this morning and now sitting in Ogallala,Ne
Going next door for Mexican tonight. -
I remember you posting about the bridge and kinda looked at it and the swing arm gates they have for when the water comes over.
My worst fear is crossing a bridge and have it go.Hope it never happens. -
I hauled a crane one time from the south west side of the Cities. It was in a freezer place that did cold weather testing. Yes they do spend alot of money running things around for testing and it seems like if you know it's a test unit you can get more money as they back charge it to R/D.
Just my thoughts -
I had a pump on a bed truck once moving infield. We had been crossing this old wood bridge for years and that day it finally decided to give up just as I got my steer tires off it collapsed not a good feeling when 170k goes weightless for a second and it hurt bad when it landed. Didn't hurt the pump but totaled that old truck.

On harvest we used to cross 5 ton wooden bridges with combines and trucks. It was always interesting.
Well I'm still in Sioux Falls. How come nobody told me there was a casino at exit 406? I could have used some casino money
