Can do tomorrow, but it is basically a piece of 6" wide, 1" high, 52" long solid steel. It goes between the slider and the frame and angle iron that bolts to the side of the frame rails. There are 9 5/8" bolts per side to go from the slider, through the steel, and into the angle iron.
Will try to remember to post pics.
Steel was $17 p.f. All new grade 8 bolts were bought too, 1" longer. I had the 6x2x1/4" wall tubing already, although 4x2 would have been easier to work with.
Under $200, for what the dealer quoted me $770 for! Day or so of hard work, but well worth it in my book.

I've been thinking about putting my 5" risers back on. If I do that, I can install some 1/2 fenders on this low ### suspension finally.

Home made 5th wheel riser.....total cost under $200. Dealer cost for parts alone, $770.
I dont see it being any safety kind of issue, especially with 18 new 5/8" grade 8 bolts and the steel being just about as wide as the 5th wheel slider.

That's exactly what mine is except it's 1/2" plate with 4" square stock and then 1/2" on top of that. You raised the entire mounting plate. I feel it's the best and proper way to do it.

Nah you did it exactly how it should be done. I ran mine pulling a sloshing tank for a little over a year and never had a problem

Darn Martin, you just need to open a fab shop for trks. and Range Rovers. Get out of driving..
I should of come to your place instead of coming up towards the Quad Cities. I need to install new cab mounts/ new door hinge and finally fix my door latch the correct way. I had to redo it awhile back as the plastic clip broke.. J.B. WEld works wonders.. lol

    SHC and leftlanetruckin Thank this.
