From what I've been told that the late 2013 and newer Paccar's are much improved, but 1 in 10 of the earlier model's are worth having.
The 2012 that I'm driving is ok after the shop cleared out all the computer's and manually re-installed software.. no soft cruze,no progressive shift, set rpm to 2100 & set the fuel mgmt module to give full throttle @ the higher rpms. & do not forget to wipe out all of the previous driver history/legacies.Then drive it like you stole it....

Under 1550 rpm You are only using torque and above 1600 You are using HP.. and there is a slight "dead zone" between the two

I made it over to the Loves in Pueblo CO, yesterday was very slow going the truck I am running with is having a bunch of mechanical issues.

We're both overweight, he is oversize, so can't go into NM until Monday, so hanging out here pulling a restart.

Been shopping around looking for another sleeper for my truck, I want to put an old Aerodyne I back on it.

Laundry, shopping and other jobs done.
FYI, for anyone with a Garmin truck GPS, after a year if you update it, you lose the NTSS section. Apparently that is not included for life, an costs $29.95 to get it back.....Worth every penny after running a week without it!
Will probably head down to Cat on 290 in Houston this evening and camp out there till 7am tomorrow and unload.
