Spent the weekend cleaning up the truck and the wife decided we needed to go fishing today... now I'm getting my last minute crap together and then headed for Akron, OH. Unload in the morning, reload in Pa going back to Chicago, then loading an empty 40' can going to Casper, WY but I got till next Tuesday to get it there, so I will try running it like a van wagon and see how many times I can load the think on my way. Hope to make a good 3 weeks out here.

Just did the calculations, I am a dum****.
Turns out next weekend is Memorial Day and I am not scheduled to unload until Thursday AM. All the states
permit offices back there are shutting down Thursday afternoon and no travel afternoon on Friday til Tuesday .
What is the chance I can find a load that weighs less than 22k and heads west?
I really don't want to spent 5 days in Albion, MI -
I'm at the old lady's house as usual. She's making some kind of pasta and sauce I've actually not heard of....maybe the pronunciation is off lol
Power washed the truck underneath today while doing my beer drinking with a friend. Trying to see where the oil secretion is coming from. Couldn't get her hot enough bobtailing over here to see anything. Used truck air to fill up the lawn mower tires as the push mower was getting pretty tuckered out for the 12 year old. Good times this weekend. Grabbed a load Friday 45 min from the house down to a park on the beach in Queens for tomorow 7am. Then over to north jersey pickup a 6"x6"x13' bundle of steel coming back home. $1550 between the two and it's gonna be like 270 miles with all the deadhead...so I'll try to fill out the trailer coming back up

Considering this myself Ron after I deliver in Altoona mate.
Legal weight should be able to travel though, continuous.
MartinSHC Thanks this. -
Yeah but I am on 8 axles right now so almost nothing legal for me.
IA close enough for you to go home? -
If need be, yes. 265 miles mate.
Like I said, weight is normally exempt from holiday restrictions, so should be good to go on legal size only. Keep it under 120k lbs and truck it up mate!

You are right, I not that familiar with iN, IL and MO. All have noon cut offs on Friday but if weight is continuos then maybe not so hopeless
Ron -
Double check the states mate, but weight only is normally continuous.

I am going try and see if I can deliver this vehicle late Wednesday and find something headed west for Thursday. But I will check with the states on weight only

I had a nice drive over Vail and through the tunnels. To bad I couldn't bring the fresh air with me to Cali. Wind picked up, so I decided begrudgingly to stop in Richfield had the hook.
The restaurant next door is this places only saving grace. The chicken and shrimp are very good. And not outrageous in price. Beats hook. Hotdogs. Lol
