I am still at the loves in Des Moines, John Deere made my paperwork go poof, and the person who handles that left early today, so my trailer is sitting at deere loaded, I am at the truck stop, going to try again tomorrow.

And I popped off an email to Rick, we will see if he runs with it.
dannythetrucker and TripleSix Thank this. -

HOLY CRAP!!!! Tach another reason on the board to own a pre emissions truck!!!
-
I'm with you on the pre-emissions truck. But I think we have to realize that going for a 2004 or older was a smart move in 2007, a good move in 2010, and a reasonable decision in 2014. not sure what the future holds, I'm looking at a glider in a couple years, but the reality of putting 60k down and still having a big payment for 3 years is real. The days of buying a 20k or less truck and having reasonable and expected repairs I think are over.

(Motivational speech time)
You do understand that that freakin stunt could have put you out of business, don't you? ( I know you do, but I'm trying to piss you off). Your business gone, your family suffers. Where's the Outlaw Josey Wales when you need him? Get bad, Mr Beast. Hit their local paper. Hit OOIDA. Unleash the Beast. Put a link to your video on your sig. Notify the BBB, (yeah, I think they're worthless too, but with media help, who knows?)skootertrashr6 and RenegadeTrucker Thank this. -
In some shape or form you are correct. I am not sure how the details will play out, but the strategy of purchasing pre-emissions truck won't last long. Even gliders aren't a sure bet. Sooner or later they will outlaw them or at least end the tax incentives or run out of cores. I would assume that sooner or later they will get the bugs worked out of the emission systems, but for now truckers have to suffer the consequences. Unfortunately, I think the industry will lose a lot of good old hands in the 50-65 range that don't want to sink a bunch of money in a truck they don't know or trust.peterbilt_2005, dannythetrucker, tsavory and 2 others Thank this.
