yeah, its sort of like a very thin sliver or metal stuck in your skin, for some reason it just irritates the urine out of you. or somewhat like a hemorrhoid, just a pain in the rear. is that what ya mean??

Nail on the head.....

Got down to Liberal, so here for the night.
Martin -
I just read tmc page for owner ops, I think I may have to switch. the part about "giving" me 1 day home for each week out really did the trick. that beats the heck out of my deal now, where I can take off as long as I want, it will keep me from getting lazy and not making money.
leftlanetruckin and passingthru69 Thank this. -
sittin at dukes in newcomerstown,oh dropping off a hay conditioner in the morning. the hay must be hot
Cluck Cluck Thanks this. -
So THEY tell you how long you go home for and when? I also think I'll stick to my pauper way of trucking, and being able to do what I want, when I want, and for as long as I want.
I feel the stick waving over my head every time I reply.........Been nice folks......
Martinpassingthru69, peterbilt_2005 and milskired Thank this. -
LOL I thought the thread was pretty funny also! I know a couple guys who are O/O there. My trainer when I started there was one, he did ok I guess, I just never understood why he stayed there when IMO you can go elsewhere and make more. Especially when you have your own trailer with the truck! He was I think bad with his money years ago and seemed like he was one of those guys who pays the minimum on everything when it comes to a payment and has to have the nicest stuff. Nice Pete but paid to much and he has to have a million plus on it now and probably just paid it off.... The truck I am buying this week is going to be bought in cash for 15K and is in better shape then his Pete was in 2010. I could ramble on and on about this topic but I don't want to get Martin's blood boiling again to go tell somebody again. LOL I am trying to keep you alive and present on this forum! I honestly could never ne an O/O there, company driver sure but not an O/O! Not enough freedom!
-
I guess there are different levels of O/O, even if you dont flease a truck? I couldn't handle being told what to do all the time.
I have heard of some companies not allowing pets in the O/O trucks too. It's MY truck, and I will do what I wish with it, I say.
Not for me, but I don't earn the big bucks neither apparently......
Martinmilskired and peterbilt_2005 Thank this. -
LOL I have never heard that but it is not really a surprise I guess. Some people are just that dumb!
-
Or just need their hand holding or bad record overlooking, so much, that they take the rules in stride. Then attempt to justify them on a weekly basis? Been my experience anyways, with the flease operators I have run with over the years that get told what to do, when to do it, and where to do it.

I almost went to Sammons on a L/P earlier this year when my job was slow as all..... Anyways I decided against it just because I always told myself I would never lease a truck, I would just save and buy and I did not want a newer emissions truck especially as my first truck! I don't think it would have worked in my favor!
