I'm still up in Conrad MT, hopefully should have the truck back tomorrow.
I feel so weird right now, been sleeping in a strange bed, been in a motel since Tuesday last week, don't know what to do with myself. Ready to go back trucking.
Where is everyone #3

Hey Carl, get well soon. Always enjoy your posts

I was! Tx was "entertaining" to say the least. That left turn from FM1611 to 84 was a total joy for the new guy! That and my front car missing FOUR turns, made for an entertaining day. We went from Junction to Garden City though, so made some miles.
They routed us the scenic route, thats for sure.
We load 1 out of Garden City, then head back to Liberal. All subject to change by the hour of course....
Luckily we got Milt as our 3rd truck, after Deb ventilated a blade on the first run......

Did you see that superload at the truckstop in Garden City? When I went through there, they brought in some cranes to unload it, and put a team of a welders to repair the trailer.
They put two rookies with me. One had his first blade a few weeks ago...a 40m. The other was pulling his 3rd. Both were pulling their first 50.2m. One guy is still acting like a freight hauler...impatient and hands his permits over to his front car. Front car goes off route, and so does he. An accident waiting to happen. The other is so solid a driver that if he didn't tell you he was a rookie, you would have a hard time guessing.
on your run from Corpus to Genoa...are they routing you 287,40,59,70 in Colorado or straight up 287 to 70? Had to wrong way it to make the turn on 59 in Kit Carson (without unpinning). Eads is tight, but don't have to unpin. Last time I went through, the ScaleMaster at Lamar wanted to see if I could cross the scale without steering. I made it. He asked me if I had a tiller man, and I told him," No, won't need to steer til I get to 70." Tricky fellow. -
Just a quick question what is unpinning? I'm guessing its something on the trailerMJ1657 Thanks this.
