Be still my racin blood pumper thingy.

There is a V8 359 on my place, I would give the contents of my coin purse to have it look like that. When I have time I don't have money. When I have money I don't have time. I gotta get the 2 in line

Wore, did the 3406, and 3408 share any internals. Never done more than look at one.

    Lots of internals.

They are basically a 3406 with 2 more cylinders. They used really low horse nozzles. Easiest fastest way to build power in them is put 3425 nozzles out of a 460 hp peec in them. If you really wanna go sheik put on a set of matched windmills one hanging off each exhaust with twin coolers

Projects only ever get done if you start. First step is getting it out of the weeds.

Been doing some vibration chasing today.

Pulled the center section of the drive shaft out (the one between the diff and the carrier)

Spun up the front section and still had the vibration between 45-60. Only thing turning us engine trans and part of the driveshaft.

Feeling no slack in the front joint but feel some up down in the yoke.

Thinking possibly the output shaft bearing is shot.... what am I looking at? Dropping the whole shebang or simple enough job that itd be worth just changing that?

I've got a bearing noise in the trans but couldn't tell you where exactly it's at. It's possible that it's this bearing I suppose and possible it's a different one. Trucks got 820k miles so I'm open to suggestions.

All the shims you need are already in there. Just need to take the ones you don’t need out. Each shim is a different thickness.
