Yea,I think I’m going to cry the first time I take it to the beacon as it is! Till then I’ll feel cool in my stool.
I’m about ready to cry uncle as it is. Only got a few tires to mount and 1 easy wheel to polish and I think I’m calling it quits this year for polish?

We’re here. Dropped the wagon and sitting at the yard. Gotta be back over there at 0600 Monday to start working the tarps off.
Gonna manage a reset so we’re good
Nashville was a #### breeze. Couldn’t ask for a smoother ride threw there if I tried...
You can tell it’s summer though. Every insect in existence in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois commited suicide on my windshield over the past two days. Cleaned it three times since Friday morning

Old timers always said the best mill engine other than steam..... is a Minneapolis Moline engine. Mainly because of the governor. When the blade starts into the log you need a snappy governor and good power to get those rpm's back up! Loose to many rpm's and the blade starts cupping. I have a 52" blade on my Frick, 100 hp will do a great job at 500+ rpm, but so will 60 hp at 450 rpm.
I always donate my time to the sawmill every year at the Heritage Farm Museum in Huntington. It only gets fired up once a year for the spring festival.,,. And that was yesterday
. Hate I missed this year but these were great paying loads!
I also have an American friction mill, my great uncle that raised me used it to build the home I grew up in. Powered by a straight 8 Packered engine.... before my time .... dad said he used a Graham truck to haul the lumber from the mill on one mountain, to the house across the way on another mountain. I was born 100 years to late
. I did find the exact same sawmill on YouTube though.. titled "Rinker Sawmill" on YouTube. That's how I figured out where all the pieces go
. I have a J.I. Case LAE engine for my Frick, but have a 4-71 on the sideline too
. Really need to downsize, not going to live forever lol.
