Wife's dad ran himself into a ditch on his four wheeler today trying to gather cows. He went over the handle bars. He's sore, but he'll be alright.

I think he's more upset at the suggestions of pain cream and soaking in the tub than he is about the wreck to begin with. He's the kind of guy who would rather rub a little dirt on it than admit it hurts.

Pistons back? I must of missed something. I thought you just had to do head work. Did they cut reliefs?

Remember Swift was car hauling in dry vans in the 90s? Their semis were running 2 ton pickup truck wheels to keep their hi cube van trailers legal height. Those things wouldn’t run 50 mph on the bigroad.
And a Prime truck was normally governed at 77mph.

I don't think they went to low rears then. Late 80s the big trucks started to use 342s and 336s, but I believe the megas were still higher. National speed limit was 55 remember. If I remember correctly some states started raising it around 87?

Forgot to mention the other big cabover company. There was
    1. JB
    2. Schneider
    3. Burlington- looked just like the other two but ran white rigs.

Yes sir. Didnt they use those to haul frames and other auto parts as well? I can remember DOT foods having some units that would step also. Ran aloft of SE to MW and back in those days. 55mph speed limits in Il, IN and OH kept a fella on their toes when he liked to step through about 65 to 70.

Yes I had the valve reliefs deepened just a hair, they also balanced each one for perfect weight..... I get back I’ll slide them in and recheck all my clearances, a stock uncut head should fit with no issues. But I’m thinking the heads have been cut onece before...
