Exactly. It amazes me at the people who plan every second of every day. What happened to just living life?

If you look at the pic of my tan 77,you can see the licensing mess on my front bumper. That was in the 70's,80's before Ifta, and IRP. Every state had their own way of doing business and taxation. In that pic I had two base plates on the truck and trailer,California and Illinois, just to cover max weight and reciprocities issues. Some states were still 73280 gw,some 80k. The other tags were the waffle plate, for the certain states that required those little apportion stickers, mostly the NW,Washington,Mt,etc. Other fuel and mileage tags required back then were Nev.,Wyoming,Ore,Miss.,Vermont,NY.,and others I'm forgetting. Had others I never bolted on,laying behind my passenger seat. Also had 4 tags on my trailer,Cal.,Ill.,waffle,and NY. Some states weren't happy enough taxing the horse, they wanted the wagon, too. Then the dam bingo cards, and that myriad of stickers you carried in the cab, they were mostly for authorities. My CF permit book was as big as NYC phone directory. Plus all the fuel and mileage stickers all over your cab,and windshields. You really never knew if you were totally legal. Thank goodness Ifta, and IRP finally brought some sensibility to this mess. Was a huge pita it was, trying to keep that stuff sorted out.

Ok I'll see what I can find. I'm guessing itll have to have the truck side harness because there are no extra plugs in my dash that would be for OEM switches.

And the related programming of course but that's the easy part

So a used set wouldnt be a bad thing.
