20191006_181622.jpg I can't recall think it was @Lysdexis told me how bad this job was. Finally got time to work on it. So far not the worst. But coming out in pieces is the easy part. Lol

Put a battery in it and just like clockwork, rolled over about 3 times and fired up!! Setting at the marina where it was left....

@stwik my point ain't a big three thing. They have all built some great cars, trucks, engines. They all built junk cars too. I'm more GM fan than anything but not because of their corporate mentality. The basic design of a small block carried on from 1955 till 2003. Then the LS series. They took what has lived that many years and improved it. And again it is the choice of hot rodders. Now they had sheet cars and so did others. But stuck with things that worked in the V8 world. No one else has done that. Unbelievable that a pushrod V8 would be that popular in 2019.

I enjoy GM and Ram. I’ve owned one Ford and will never put myself through it again, new or used. That’s not to say I think they make junk — just not the kinda junk I enjoy.

GM and Ram sticking with NA motors across their lineup is what keeps me intrigued. GM botched the looks of the new Camaro and even then the loyalist love them over the Mustang and it’s always been the underdog drivers car to the commuter all-rounder Mustang.

The fun side of me wants a C6 ZO6 next summer... the “I wanna be the first to molest it” tells me to grab a brand new Camaro 1SS with the 1LE package... dealer down in Florida let’s em go for 35k out the door, in line with what id be paying for a lowish mileage Z06...

The other side of me says heck it and get back on two wheels. Street Bob, maybe a Lowrider S. Don’t know.

The big three all have busts and bruisers. I know we all enjoy the 90s and earlier rides. Yet, something to be said for the competitive advancements all of them have been doing since then. I don’t care for the luxury trucks but I loved my Ram when I had it and I’m sure @MACK E-6 feels the same way — Ram dropped the G56 finally. Not surprised but not sure I’d buy a new diesel truck either.

Actually agree, a truck is for work. Test drove a new 16 SSII shamaro, all black no chrome 6 speed. The Mrs said get it. Not gonna lie, it was hard not to with her blessing. I still think it would have been the worst financial decision I had ever made in my life. But anymore I hate new stuff. I don't like any of the new trucks. Growing up dad had a 76 GMC Grande Sierra 15 454 heavy half ton 2wd. The heavy half ton did not have early emissions. So JD dont get mad, 1995 standing next to pops at Louisville truck show he asked at the gmc booth, why can't I get a 454 in a 2wd long bed 1/2 ton. The kid working said " Sir if you need a 454, you need a bigger truck". Sorry but unless your a farmer or contractor you dont need anything over a 1/2ton. Real pickups have two doors and a 8' bed. I hate the look of all the new ones, especially the chevys. To replace my 05 that I bought new, would cost 38k to replace. I'll never buy one. Next will be a 80's in moderate shape for a driver. I'm done with new trucks. Even now that I own a ford with a diesel, it is only reasonable because I bought it very cheap. But still cost more to operate. Can't imagine paying 70k for a pickup and still driving a 13k freightliner. Guess which makes more money.
