Yeah I already parked. Walked up to Iron stomach...I mean Skillet... Just grab breakfast hopefully they don't "F" that up. I ain't had much luck in the past here.

Yeah I ain't had much luck there either. Actually they have better food in the deli and to me it seems like it's a better deal for the money if you shop right.

I used to be in your shoes. I was the guy that all the liars at the lunch counter singled out. I still go to the lunch counter and I almost always sit at the bar. I had to figure out what it was that I was doing that made them come up to me.

“Out of all the guys in here, why do they lie to you, Six? What does it mean when they say stupid things to you?”

 

Yes sir. It's un-American to F-up bacon, but they managed to...
I'd have rather had Papa John's wings.

 

The solution is Don't Sit at the Lunch Counter.

 

Made the Missouri Valley rest area on the I29. They decided to flood the road or something south of here when I was in Grand Forks, so that threw my plan for the first couple days out the window.

Probably will only make TJ's Country Store in Smithville, TX for the night tomorrow because of the I680 detour around the flooding north of Council Bluffs. Is it any good? Google says they are open 24/7 and are pretty much the only place to park a truck between Fort Smith and the I30 on the US-259.
That or the Choctaw Travel Center/Casino, but I have no idea what that'll be like.

Neither are ideal, but there's nothing again till Linden, TX and unless I crank Mulva up over 70 all day, I'll never make it.

 

How observant are you? This is a clip I use to help the younger guys out that I meet. It has 2 plots...the Dummy Plot and the Deep Plot.


The Dummy Plot is about the cars. Everything but the cars is drab brown. The Deep Plot is what you want to pay attention to. There are 2 things the lead guy does to establish his worth to the girl he’s interested in. Can you identify these two things?
