Playing cat n mouse with the Man today. Hop on two lane to skip toll roads they is one spot they like to hide in the bushes. County mounties and full growns take turns. Nobody home today slide on down to the interstate. Southbound scale is open for customers hop off four lane back to two. Boogie on past the coop and find the four lane. 19 miles hammer down to the state line
Then start all over again.

I will say... I have noticed an increase in parking shenanigans at major chains over the past 2-3 months. Not just in “creative parking” but with speed and douchbagery. I know a lot of you on here avoid the major chains at night — and I’m starting to do the same. No parking past 5pm at many truck stops in the east. And if there is parking enjoy paying $15 to park, plus dinner if that’s your thing...
I don’t know if ELDs are the direct cause. I haven’t been around long enough, I don’t have all the data... I will say that it’s a common trend to see less and less courtesy amongst drivers nowadays. Get rid of the 14? That’s my suggestion at the very least. But wouldn’t they all just race their 11? Idk. I read something awhile back think it was from OOIDA... they mentioned switching to simply monitoring a drivers sleep habits over working hours. I’d prefer that. I think if I give you 10 hours off duty, plus a break, plus 5-10 minutes throughout the day relaxing for a moment, I should be able to drive till the bloody wheels fall off... but that’s just me.
I mentioned giving us hours back on our 70 for extra hours off past our 10 too. My whole thing is... if I’m giving you 10 consecutive hours off duty I shouldn’t have to race any ####ing clock... and that’s a big issue in this industry right now. You’re racing a clock day in and day out — that’s it. -
