    Check your routing with regard to fires down south before you commit to Corning. I-5 through Castaic, 14 at the I-5, Glendora sections, and even sections of I-10 have major fire issues. You might consider getting over to 395 down 89 and go in the east approach. Traffic from bakersfield toFontana was taking an extra 5-8 hours due to closures. Even 101 was hammered. Trucks shut down at Castaic truck-stops without power...just a real mess down there....check B4 you run in!
