I just don't get it. Saw a red Volvo that had to be doing every bit of 40 going through the lot of a Pilot. All I could think of was onion.

Yes its a home built auger. Neighbour built it back in the 80s. Its a bergen 10x60 auger with a international 70hp deisel. Deisel runs a 2 stage hydo pump with a 4 inch suction. First stage runs the auger, second runs the lift and drive. It has a cool governer setup with tiny cylinders running the throttle. When pressure increases the cylinders extend running it up to max rpm. Flighting gets turned on with elec over hydraulic. Auger will sit and idle til you start filling the hopper and then it revs up. When the hopper is empyy it slows down again to idle. Even has a bin full sensor up top that shuts off the flighting. Built a demo car for the neighbour and traded it for the auger 10 years or so ago. They were using conveyers and it was sitting out back. Got it running and it goes faster then our farm king 10 inch. Quick swapping bins with it. Going to have to redo the flighting this winter. Auger tube is crazy thick on the bergens so lots of life left in it.

 

This tanker took corner and caught the front left headlight of the other truck.
Both decided to block the bridge and both on and off ramps.


I walked up to get the show on the road.

Just once I'd like to see cop try and slap the stupid out of one of these idiots. I mean, I know he'd be busy for a while, but I'd like to see it!
