No it'll give a sunburn. Silly hair is prerequisite for polishing your truck into a UFO.

 

Diesel shops generally polish cranks with about a 600 grit sandpaper strap. Theyll run a new piece for roughing right off the grinder and then older pieces for polishing up. Leather belts work too. Use some ATF on the sandpaper.

 

You even have the slide heater controls. I love you, and your truck. Dials are useless.

Ran out of hours in Beloit, WI. Really feeling the crud. Hammered some NyQuil earlier. I got to roll out at 5 am. I did get enough energy to wonder across the street and found some $1 beers and a steak sandwich. Might try @Tripple six Rx before I leave here?
