Odd. Is there a adapter plate that mounts on the front of comp. Bout 3/4 inch thick. It fits between comp and spacerplate.

Yeah that's the new part.

The only thing that's not new is the backside of the front structure.

 

Ok, the spacerplate that is between block and front cover. I have seen those warp before. If you can put a straight edge on it and see if it's true. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the bracket for idler gear is rubbing on the bolt tab shearing it off. But I don't think it hangs that low to even get close to that bottom stud.

 

Same stud. I'll admit last time I replaced it I didn't tear apart the front of the engine.

I was in a hurry (stupid, I know) and ground a side flat, just enough off the edge of the stud to get it past the idler gear, about 1/8".

That was the one I was installing to replace the one that broke my oil pump. Luckily this one didn't do that kind of damage, it just leaks like crazy.

 

I'll check it for sure. I'm pulling it all apart tomorrow.

Got a full set of gaskets for everything up there and a new crank damper coming.

I just looked at the Wexit Facebook page. In the past 24 hours they've gone from like 10,000 group members to almost 200,000! People are pretty upset up here.
