With those hoods it looks like you could marry a couple of inline 671s and still get them to fit!lol7-UP, 1951 ford, Westbound23 and 11 others Thank this.

Alrighty... here goes.
After reading what you said I got reminded of somebody who about 3 years got offended about the idea of me running single shot injection on my pickup.
“Gee, why would you want to take a nice quiet common rail engine and make it sound like a 30 year old mechanically injected POS? That just says you’re the ultimate poser.”
Ok, first of all I didn’t ask for your opinion. Second, I’m sure you know where you can stick it. Third and most importantly, that’s what I like. A diesel with no rattle is worse than a Harley with stock pipes.
“You’re an ###-hole who doesn’t care about other people!!”
Yes I am, thank you.

Good idea, I'll do that.
Oh by the way, just in case nobody has ever thought of it, the 379 is much better to work on than the 378. An extra foot of room definitely has it's advantages!7-UP, 1951 ford, Westbound23 and 18 others Thank this. -
Hell, you have compound turbos. Why not compound engines?

It’s good that you have a good son.
I’ve seen some of the horrors of nursing homes.1951 ford, Zeviander, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
I gotta say I agree with that...that's why I started with to each their own
FWIW I agree wholeheartedly with single shot over common rail too7-UP, 1951 ford, Westbound23 and 15 others Thank this. -
I’ve heard nothing good about the build quality of the 2.1 cab, my buddy is on his second 880 and he has paper stuffed in places right stoop the squeaks and did on the other one. I still say it looks like a Coronado.7-UP, 1951 ford, Westbound23 and 15 others Thank this.

That's the advantage of an old driver driving and old truck; don't know if the creaks are coming from my body or the cab, those that I can still hear anyway!7-UP, 1951 ford, Westbound23 and 21 others Thank this.
