My buddey just sent me a photo of this — he found it on CL. I’ve been looking for an old square body for awhile now that isn’t in too bad of shape. This just might fit the bill...

4x4, big block 454, TH400, less than 80k orginal miles..... hmmmmmmmm

That's right. This is a 91. Still has the kysor over ride and paper log book on the dash. The axle temp gauges worked till i took it to Joplin. I' betting they are unplugged at the diff housings. The fuel gauge well thars what the stick is for

Those are the best kind. You can drop it, throw it, scratch your back, etc. and they never lose calibration. :D

I bought a Uniden 880 on sale a couple years ago, it lasted 6 months. I took it to the CB shop on Wilson rd and he laughed at me, said Uniden screwed the pooch with that radio and there was nothing he could do. My truck is the biggest problem, it’s rough.

    Spring ride or air?

Is the cab rigid mounted or also air ride?

I’ve had a Cobra 29 in my spring ride single screw for 12 years and it still works.

Hmm, steel winch bumper which will protect the front end. Simple motor that responds well to a mild cam and headers, bulletproof transmission. If it’s $4k or less that’s a no brainer to me.

    A 454 with a 3-speed auto?

That will pass everything but a gas station. :biggrin_25523:

But he can hit a deer at 60 mph with it and go “hmph, wonder what that was?”
