Oh yeah, I run my own truck and trailer and am home nightly.

I believe they pay a surcharge for empty miles too and I think I figured it in as well but dont remember. Just doesnt seem like enough given what they have posted as the rates. Guys make something at it otherwise they wouldnt be doing it.

It would be nice, my CCO expires in March. I’m planning on getting my swing cab endorsement so I could run one.

As a 10 axle I am a little heavy and as an 11 axle I am ok. Because I run only long haul stuff - it doesn’t make a huge deal

some times I am 10 and if I put my Jeep axle down I am 11.

I planned to be under 80 when I built the trailer originally and then got lucky when I added the flip beck and axle to the Jeep.

inworry that as I collect chains and blocks and such I will accidentally creepmover 80k and get busted for weight. I have to permit everywhere empty anyway, it just more complicated to order weight permits empty

I'm not going back, but I thought that 1.51 or whatever included fuel surcharge. Never and I mean never finance a licence plate thru them. Get your own and your own bobtail insurance.

Monday thru Friday is hectic for me, making multi stops, racing a clock and making sure everything goes smoothly. So, when I work on a Saturday its low stress, 8 hours or less.

Days like today when traffic is light, I get to see the sunrise, watch the planes leave vapor trails, and see the fog lift off the ponds and lakes. Listening to Dan Seals sing acoustic just completes it.

I don't know if the perfect day trucking exists, but days like this give me pause to just slow down and enjoy the drive. I hope my #5 friends have a great weekend.
